The collector who built a Nelson shrine

The original museum existed because of the enthusiasm of Robert Abrahams, a Philadelphia lawyer and Nevis resident who spent decades assembling an extensive collection of Horatio Nelson memorabilia. His collection included paintings, prints, maps, ceramics, documents, naval artefacts, busts and ship models, many of which he first displayed in his own home before donating them to the Nevis Historical and Conservation Society (NHCS). Why the old museum closed
